4 Great Habits for 2021

#1 Terminate Toxic Relationships

#2 Make Yourself Comfortable

Sometimes you will find yourself in an environment such as having to do a listing presentation, that you may not feel 100% comfortable about. This is your mind and body’s way of telling you this area of your business needs a bit of work. This boils down to a training and education situation, locate the resources that are available to help you and practice, practice, practice.

You have to make yourself comfortable enough in an uncomfortable situation to allow yourself to move forward.

#3 Time Blocking and Having a Morning Routine

Time blocking is one of the most powerful things I've heard in the real estate industry. Create a morning routine that allows you to respond to emails, return calls and texts, and frees up the rest of your day to generate leads and other revenue-producing activities.

If you have an email or tasks that can wait until the next morning, you are not allowed to complete it at that time, push it to the next day!

Dennis Morning Routine:

6 AM - 30 Minutes of reading

6:30 AM - 30 Minutes of Exercise

7 AM - 30 Minutes of Quiet Time

7:30 AM :

  • Confirm today’s appointments

  • Check text, emails, and voicemails

  • Check database tasks list

  • Check for “alarms” - Anyone you absolutely need to talk to today

8:30 AM - 20 Minutes of Social Media Interaction

8:50 AM - Schedule/Plan rest of day

#4 Grab the Low-Hanging Fruit

71% of the public only talks to 1 real estate professional before they decide to do business. It’s Usually someone they perceive as a friend in the business. Develop ways to stay in touch with the people you know in a systematic way.
