The Opposite of Hate is not Love

You have a difficult, angry, and argumentative client.
If you had their mom and/or dad, you would probably be the same person.
Listen, try to understand, and extend a little compassion and kindness.
They are just afraid of something, or perhaps everything…

The Opposite of Hate is not Love,
it is Understanding.

5 ways to Put Transactions Together with Compassion

1. Don’t be a Bully, it alienates and scares people.
2. Document your opinions with facts, don’t tell people what a house is worth, show them.
3. Ask permission to ask tough questions.
“I would like to tailor a form of financing best suited to your needs, could I ask some questions about your finances?”
4. Never name-call, belittle, use sarcasm, roll your eyes and indicate impatience.
People can’t hear you when you make them nervous and defensive.
5. Build trust by being kind, emotionally available, listening, and being confident and competent.
